School Themed Wedding Details

working the wordsearch puzzle!

This wedding at an old schoolhouse was so lovely! The printed details were quaint, chalkboards were everywhere, the flowers were so so pretty and the gorgeous bride and groom were ear to ear smiles the whole time. I posted the save-the-date and wedding invitations with their school details a while back, so of course the wedding and reception needed to remind the guests about old school days too. The program was mostly traditional but on the back was a Wordsearch puzzle. For extra credit, obviously! Fun custom imprinted purple and fuchsia pencils were available alongside the programs. There is always time while guests are waiting for the wedding ceremony to begin so what better way to keep them occupied. And lots of folks really did work on the puzzle! After the ceremony the guests went over to the wooden library card catalog drawers for their escort cards (in Dewey Decimal System style!) and found their seats at the alphabetically assigned tables. I just love the way this couple was willing to take their schoolhouse theme into so many details for their wedding.

Bridal Shower Tea with a French Lavender Feel

It was my absolute pleasure to create these bridal shower tea invitations! With inspirational help from Pinterest I decided a tea bag made of fabric and filled with dried lavender should be placed inside a tea cup printed on the invitation. What a delightful surprise to come in the mail, don't you think?

A few months ago I "pinned" a cute DIY Miniature Tea Bag Shaped Letter Sachet that came from the blog MiniatureRhino by Jessica Marquez. Now, 3 months later I went back to my Pinterest boards and while perusing I saw it again and decided on my plan. I took a photo of a cup and saucer in my own china cabinet, Photoshopped it and put it in the design. On the "tea" bag tag it gives directions to "Steep tea sachet in a drawer". It's sort of like getting a party favor before the party!

Graduation Cap Cards

Did you receive a boatload of graduation announcements this year? We sure did. I decided that I would create a card that is a mortar board style just like these graduation party invitations that I posted last month. On the inside there is a personalized congratulations for each grad. Now these college grads just need to find a job!
