Graduation Party Chalkboard Invitation
This high school graduate wants to become a teacher so an old schoolhouse theme was chosen for the party. The grad's favorite colors are red, black and white which hardly seems old fashioned, that is until you throw a little burlap into the mix. A printed chalkboard, a touch of red check ribbon and kraft paper envelopes are setting the scene for the guests. I don't want to spoil any surprises but I think there will be fried chicken, mashed potatoes and number 2 pencils!

Graduation Cap Cards
Did you receive a boatload of graduation announcements this year? We sure did. I decided that I would create a card that is a mortar board style just like these graduation party invitations that I posted last month. On the inside there is a personalized congratulations for each grad. Now these college grads just need to find a job!

Graduation Cap Invitation
I have favorites. And this one I created is ranking up there. Two square papers that become a mortar board with a silk ribbon tassel and a little paper button on top. Too cute. And ya gotta do the square envelope!

A Girly Grad
Obviously tough enough to play volleyball for her high school, this beautiful grad is also a girly girl. Her mom knew she would want something totally feminine for her graduation announcement instead of the classic, order-from-the-school type. Not bound by the high school's colors, I decided to go with the flow of the pink, black and white volleyball in the photo and the mom approved. The shimmer of the soft pink paper and kitsch paper topped with the vellum made it fun with a touch of elegance.

The Graduates

A sea of graduation announcements have arrived in our mailbox. More than any other year I can remember. High school grads, college grads with their bachelor degrees and master's degrees, and all of them deserving of a celebration. Well, you know me, I think a party should be planned because the sun broke through the fog before 10 am!
Our niece is one of the high school grads this season and her mom asked if I could whip up a simple invitation for the post commencement gathering. I'm partial to the school colors of red, black and gold so it's no surprise I had these yummy red Envelopments envelopes on hand. And a feminine and fun font matches Laura's personality. Congrats to her and all The Graduates!

Hey Grad!

There's no doubt it is graduation season. Announcement number three showed up in our mailbox today so I thought I'd post some graduation announcements, grad party invitations that I've created and my daughter's graduation "thank you" notes. Knowing that she would be writing the same "this is what I plan to do now" I thought it best to just state that on the front of the folded card with a fun photo and leave the inside for the personal note of thanks. Best wishes to all the grads!
