Vermont suits this couple. Really well. The Bride and Groom met at the University of Vermont in Burlington and since graduation a few years back neither of them have felt the need to leave the Green Mountain State. So when it came to choosing a location for their wedding they searched for an outdoor location and what they found fit them perfectly!

Surrounded by sunflowers and love

Vintage and earthy. Those are the two words the bride used to describe what she was looking for in an invitation. Bringing in the fern clippings tied to the invitations added the natural touch she was looking for and I have plenty of ferns growing in my yard. Nice. 

As for the vintage part of the wedding? The bride wore her grandmother's wedding dress which was also worn by her mother! A few alterations, one of which was creating cap sleeves instead of long sleeves, and this vintage all-over lace gown became "Sarah". For the reception the vintage china was not matching but was all blue & white. It was truly a beautiful and delicious family-style dining experience for the guests. After dinner, the dancing to five different bands/other guests(!) went on into the wee hours.

Combining the beach and elegance into a wedding invitation can be a delightful challenge. The texture of sand, the shades of blue, the shimmer of sun on the water. Even better than that? This couple's precious story!
Katie came to the San Diego area from Germany as an exchange student for her junior year of high school and that is where they met and dated for a few months. The friends she made that year stayed close to her heart and as the years went by she came back to visit quite a few times. It was during one of those trips that she and Grant reconnected, began dating in that long-distance fashion (Skype!), and truly fell in love.
But back to the invitations! A special way to keep the beachy blues in play was to use a watercolor of a beach photo for the map pocket-liner as well as the backside of the invitation extra pieces (i.e. rsvp card, welcome party card).

Simple, elegant, with a touch of rustic. This bride's style with navy blue and blush colors will make for a lovely wedding. There is something very calming about blush floral arrangements and bouquets. I can't wait to see it all come together!

With a touch of rustic and a touch of patriotism this wedding invitation captured the essence of this couple and their wedding. The "birch barque" paper combined with the shimmer of the red and blue papers let the guests know that yes, the wedding is in a barn but they can wear their fancy duds!

The bride has always loved red, white and blue (although she went for gray!), loves American history, and had always wanted to get married on the Fourth of July. Well, the date didn't work out because the groom, a US Marine, will be deployed then. More recently he was stationed in Maryland so whenever the bride went to visit they enjoyed Washington D.C. and all the historical sites it has to offer.

Navy Blue and Gold Wedding Invitations

The bride is a US Navy Nurse. Could that be why she loves the navy, gold and white combo? All I know is I love it too so this was a pleasure to create. The gold embroidery floss ties around the navy wrap and the RSVP and "The Particulars" are tucked behind. Clean, simple, yet so elegant.

A logo that included an antler is how this wedding suite started. The couples logo combined with natural papers throughout set the tone for this lovely wedding in Bigfork, Montana. Sometimes I fall in love with a paper and right now it's the Envelopments Barque papers. Unusual and rustic and perfect for this wedding.

Down Home Country Reception

Another post-wedding reception in the bride's hometown... They were married in June but the celebrating ain't done yet! A country styled party is in the works for those that couldn't make the trek to Concord, Massachusetts last June. Seriously, this gig will be chock full of fun and games and finger-lickin' good food with crazy tall pie from The Blue Owl for dessert. I think the yellow gingham print on the back of the invitations is a delightful match to the sunflower in the photo and definitely brings the 'country' feel. And the rooster? Seals the deal!

A Sweet Blue and White Wedding Invitation

When this bride came to me I knew I would enjoy working with her. To begin with she loved the way our home is decorated because she already has the same style and colors started in their future home. And since we spoke the same "style language" and she already knew the basics of what she wanted we were bound to be good working buddies.

She wanted something simple, a blue and white vase with lavender, lace or doily wrapped, and a vine pattern like I did for these bridal shower tea invitations. I must say those are one of my favorites too! No wonder we got along so well.

A French picnic feel for their wedding in historic Concord, Massachusetts was the desire of this bride and groom, so when I found this fabric I knew it was perfect for these invitations. These revelers in the print are dining and dancing outdoors, and although the wedding guests probably won't be dressed in clothing from the 18th century the ambiance just might be he same.

Popular Peacock for Wedding Invitation

This bride and groom are having an elegant wedding and reception. Rich jewel tones, peacock feathers and gold accents. When I found this peacock feather paper I thought it would be a perfect way to set the tone for the day. And that gold wax seal with the letter "E" added a bit of an old world feel which I thought went perfectly with the wedding location, the gorgeous historic Mission Inn in Riverside, California. I used a champagnium pocket card from Envelopments that held the rsvp and its envelope in the back.
